This towel hook is made of ceramic. It has a soft and round shape. There are no corners or edges. This design was completely new in the year 1975.

Note: The text is about a touch object in the X-D-E-P-O-T. The touch object looks a little different from the original object. The text matches the touch object.

This is a ceramic towel hook. Ceramics are made of clay. They are fired in a furnace at a very high heat. At the end, the ceramic is given a glaze. The glaze is a covering that looks like glass.

People have been using ceramics for a very long time. They can be used for a long time. With the glaze, water cannot pass through. They are also safe for your health and easy to clean. That's why ceramics are very good for sanitary facilities. For example, for bathrooms and toilets.

In 1975, Luigi Colani designed a new style of bathrooms for the company Villeroy & Boch. The company produces for example, tiles, but also dishes. This design is typical of Luigi Colani: All of his designs have round and soft shapes designed to fit people's movements.

This is also the way he designs his bathrooms: Washbasins, soap dishes and toothbrush holders have no corners and no edges. He has made an overall design for the bathroom. All the parts belong together. This is called a collection. The collections have different colours.

Luigi Colani sees that every person is individual. Their needs are very important to him. The design should make the bathroom a place of relaxation.
