This is a wall picture. It is made of ceramics. The pieces of the wall picture have different colours. You can turn the pieces. This way there is always a new picture.

There are metal bars in a black wooden frame. On the metal bars, there are always 7 tiles on top of each other. They are made of porcelain.

Porcelain is made of fine clay and other materials. For example, plates and cups are made of porcelain. The tiles have the colours green, blue and white. You can turn the tiles. The ceramic tiles then have different heights. This way the relief always looks different. The relief is even more 3-dimensional. 3-dimensional means: It is not flat. It has a height and a depth. When light shines onto the ceramic tiles, they show different shadows and patterns.

Ferdinand Günther Ris worked together with the company Rosenthal on this wall relief. This German company is very well known. It has been around since 1879. Since 2009 Rosenthal belongs to a big company from Italy. It is called Sambonet Paderno Industrie.
