A compact, ivory-colored table fan with a cylindrical housing and transparent protection around the blades. The fan stands on a hinged metal frame with joints. There are ventilation slots on the side and a slider for the speed levels.

In 1961, the Braun company sold several table fans. These fans moved the air horizontally. This is why the fans are called tangential fans.

The HL 1 fan was a tangential fan. The HL 1 had a foot that could be unscrewed. This meant that the fan could also be installed in a car.
