The Ericofon also had the name: cobra phone. That was new with the Ericofon: The phone was only made of one part. The phones before were made of two parts: • a handset • a dial disc The dial disc has the numbers for making a telephone call.

On the Ericofon, the dial disc is at the bottom of the base. There is also a red switch in the centre of the dial disc. The red switch is for ending a call. If you wanted to hang up, then you simply put the phone down. The red switch then pressed the line. This ended the call.
