Our museum is in the Pinakothek der Moderne. You have to go to the basement. Please allow extra time to lock up your belongings. Take the lift in the glass extension from the entrance area. It will take you to Die Neue Sammlung.
There is barrier-free access in Barer Straße. The museum has a car park for people with a disability. There are two lifts for all floors.

After incredible lectures about the history of studio jewelry in the Netherlands and the United States the theme will be the history of studio jewelry in Aotearoa New Zealand during the Schmuck-Sunday-Matinee at Pinakothek der Moderne 2016.
Prof. Alan Preston (born 1941) and Dr. Areta Wilkinson (born 1969) will be discussing the development of Contemporary resp. Studio Jewelry in Aotearoa New Zealand a group islands of with a unique cultural context and history. Practice in New Zealand has matured with the support of Fingers in Auckland,
a jewelry gallery established by Alan Preston in 1974 and managed by makers for 40 years, representing 170 artists during that time. Hindsight reveals national, political and cultural influences distinguishing it from other International practices.
