Palais Pinakothek. Education

Since April 2006, the Pinakothek museums have a new building dedicated to bringing design, architecture and art closer to their visitors. It is the Palais Pinakothek, formerly Palais Dürckheim, at Türkenstraße 4.

It is a site with unique opportunities for working together with museum visitors. As a new point of departure encountering the works of the Pinakothek museums, it opens up unusual, meaningful and sensual approaches to the understanding of art, design and architecture.
Discourse with forming and art has the decisive potential to help us develop as individuals. Looking at art stimulates our thought processes. It promotes our powers of perception and enriches our view of the world. Being able to comprehend the work processes of designers, architects and artists in a practical and concrete way impacts on our daily lives by strengthening our creative, social and ethical competences.

This is why the Palais Pinakothek would like to introduce design and art to the lives of as many people as possible. Its changing themes and diverse methodological approaches offer visitors a range of possibilities for actively engaging with the works of the Pinakothek museums.
