Die Neue Sammlung is a museum run by the Free State of Bavaria.

Under the roof of Pinakothek der Moderne four independant State Museums are co-operating. Besides the Neue Sammlung responsible for design these are: Architekturmuseum der Technischen Universität München (Museum of Architecture), Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen (with its Collection of Modern Art) and Staatliche Graphische Sammlung for art on paper.
