Plastic flowers meet fresh water pearls, or playmobil figures, shells or gems meet colored glue. Lisa Walker combines different materials in unusual ways. She finds her diverse materials, for example, household, toys in hobby stores or even in nature. Lisa Walker always asks the question of what is jewelry in general and jewelry can be. For example, some of her jewels are not wearable. Rather, it is material accumulations or sculptures, which may remind us of the New Zealand origin of the artist, to jewelry and art works of different periods and countries.
